Fitting Rails on the Cedar Island

by Steve on November 27, 2011

I steamed, bent, and clamped the outwales on the Cedar Island Cheemaun over a week ago. With their shape set, I loosened each end and finessed the final fit with plane, rasp, and sander.

Next they get removed (again) to seal the back sides.

A side note: the 50# went home to Georgia this weekend with its smiling owner so I have a little more elbow room for the time being.
